Boy commits suicide after giving birth to a student

Rakai District Police in Uganda are investigating the death of a 16-year-old student who died after consuming pesticides after allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl. A relative of the deceased, said his brother had taken a bottle of Paraquat spray, which he had bought for pesticides in his garden. He took the drug and was later taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead five days later. The girl's parents went to the boy's home saying Kenned had impregnated their daughter and wanted to marry her or they would take her to court. But they also spent 100,000 Ugandan shillings as monthly care for their pregnant daughter. Kennedy refused to pay the fine as he denied having an affair with the girl, saying it was possible the girl had other boyfriends and could not marry him as he was still a young man. Kennedy's father has said his son aspired to be an engineer and it is sad that he died before he could fulfill his dream.

Eleven students were arrested for robbing a Soldier's home

Teachers have been arraigned on charges of murdering a student

Two teachers at Holly Cross Nursery Primary School in Temeke have been arraigned in Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court on a charge of murdering a student at the school. The accused are Gongolamboto Resident, Leahdorice Agunda (35) and Maths Laizer who is a resident of Mtoni Kijichi. Senior State Counsel, Wankyo Simon claimed before Chief Resident Magistrate, Yusto Ruboroga that. On September 14, 2020 at Holly Cross Nursery Primary School located in Kijichi, Temeke District, they all killed a student at the school, Catbert Chawe, knowing that doing so would be a legal offense. Simon claimed that the investigation into the case had not been completed and asked the court to set another date for the hearing. Following the statement, Judge Ruboroga said the accused were not allowed to answer anything as the case was murder so he had adjourned the case until November 19, 2020

The alleged arsonists have been arraigned in court

The National Prosecution Office has indicted three suspects in connection with the arson of the Uchira Girls' Secondary School boarding school and the Ebeneza Sango Secondary School boarding school in Moshi district in Kilimanjaro region. Speaking to reporters in Moshi, Oswald Tibabyekomya, Director of Prosecution and Investigation at the National Prosecuting Office, said that in the incident of the burning of a dormitory at Uchira Girls' Secondary School there was one teacher and one student.
